"SPARKLE (HALFBY innn HAWAII EDIT)" is a special version of HALFBY's re-edited English cover of Tatsuro Yamashita's masterpiece "SPARKLE" by Hawaiian AOR band "Greenwood".
The Greenwood version of "SPARKLE", a Hawaiian AOR band led by Hawaii-born Japanese musician Robin Kimura, was released in 1985 with a small amount of press. This work has been re-evaluated since the 2000s, as it has been recorded on the compilation albums of the Japanese DJ neighborhood and the Hawaiian label "Aloha Got Soul".
Riding on the wave of record boom and city pop re-evaluation, it became so popular that it became difficult to obtain 7-inch records and re-released albums.
This time, thanks to the kindness of Robin Kimura, HALFBY's re-editing will be realized.
HALFBY is a musician who sends his own music from Kyoto. He is also an artist with a deep knowledge of Hawaii and island music, such as releasing "innn HAWAII", "LAST ALOHA", and "Loco", which are his own works with the image of Hawaii.
HALFBY's remix of Greenwood's "SPARKLE" is an impossible collaboration, and this song is a must-see song.
