I wrote this song about the scenery of the streets of Nogata, where I used to drink and eat with a girlfriend I met when I was young. Nogata is a station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, the sixth stop from Seibu Shinjuku Station. Nogata was the first place my girlfriend, who later became my wife, lived after moving to Tokyo.
The shopping district was so well-developed that nothing was missing, and it was here that they nurtured their love and grew to adulthood.
The lyrics were written in April 1980, but the poem and music score went missing due to moving, etc. I found them in 2018 and started the arrangement in July 2021, but it took two years to arrange the intro and interlude. It is one of the biggest works for me. I hope you will listen to it.
