Between the lines I find my peace

Where all my worries seem to cease

Every word a stepping stone

To places I have never known

The author's voice speaks soft and clear

Drawing all my soul so near

Coffee scented morning air

Mixes with the stories there

In this realm of paper dreams

Nothing's quite the way it seems

Between the lines I travel far

To lands beneath a different star

With every page the world grows wide

And I can leave myself behind

I lose all sense of passing time

Characters become my friends

In adventures without ends

Every plot twist pulls me deeper

Like a literary keeper

Of the secrets writers tell

Casting such a gentle spell
