This work "TAKE ME BACK" will be the lead single from the mini album "SUMMERTIME" scheduled to be released in August this year. Following "Cry Baby" recorded on his own 1st mini-album, it is the second punk rock work that is packed with Asuka Louis's alternative elements. It's a song that emotionally sings his feelings of regret that he left behind on a track that incorporates Rock's sound into Hip-hop. In particular, attention should be paid to Asuka Louis's illusionary arrangement and progressive development, which is transposed in the middle of the rust. Also, one week later, on 8/10 (Wednesday), the 4th original mini album "SUMMERTIME" containing 3 songs including the leading single is scheduled to be released.
Born in Tokyo in 2002 to Korean parents, Asuka Louis spent his high school years studying in the U.S., where he was deeply influenced by the local hip-hop scene and Western music. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2019 under the name "mosura," while also launching a vlog style YouTube channel as "Mick," which has since grown to over 200,000 subscribers. In 2021, he drove solo to Atlanta to fully commit to his artistry. After returning to Japan, he refined his production skills through self-study and reintroduced himself in 2024 under the name "Asuka Louis" with a self-titled EP. From songwriting and production to mixing, mastering, and artwork, he developed a fully independent creative process. In April 2025, he released his first full-length album, process. Spanning 19 tracks, the album blends hip hop with elements of R&B, jazz, rock, and pop - showcasing a bold evolution in sound and a distinct artistic voice.
