Kuroiwa Isao. releases new album:"The Wind from the West Carried Your Scent"
From the quiet streets of Sasebo comes a voice that speaks directly to the heart.
Singer-songwriter Kuroiwa Isao. returns with his latest album, "The Wind from the West Carried Your Scent", a deeply personal collection of 7 tracks that captures fleeting memories, distant landscapes, and the lingering presence of "you."
Featuring his signature song, "Nijinda Mikazuki" (The Blurred Crescent Moon), this album weaves delicate melodies with honest, unfiltered emotion.
Tokyo-based arranger Jun Fujii brings a refined sonic touch to the project, while a lineup of exceptional musicians from Nagasaki-guitarist KYO, bassist Sōshi Sōda, and synth artist JK-add texture, soul, and a hometown spirit to every track.
A breeze from the west. A familiar scent.
Let this album drift into your life, carrying memories you thought you'd forgotten.
Kuroiwa Isao. Born December 21, 1983 in Nagasaki Prefecture. The concept of his songs is "short stories that can be listened to in 5 minutes." He is influenced by the word choices of Ryotaro Shiba, Kei Yuikawa, and Takuji Ichikawa. He aims to create songs that have a nostalgic atmosphere. During his school days, he was inspired by LUNA SEA and formed a band, which disbanded after graduation. After that, he somehow continued his musical activities and started singing and playing the guitar.
