Hirai New Single Shakuyaku

I could never say I like you until the very end

From the school hallway in the morning to the bicycle parking area after class and the flowers blooming in the schoolyard
This song portrays a growing unspoken love hidden within ordinary everyday moments

Built around warm acoustic guitar sounds and emotional band arrangements the song combines heartfelt lyrics with a bittersweet atmosphere that brings back memories of young love

For anyone who has ever had feelings they could not put into words
I hope this song reaches your heart

Artist Profile

  • -HIRAI-

Born on August 22, 2000, HIRAI is a singer-songwriter from Shiga, Japan, currently based in Tokyo. In 2021, he moved from his hometown of Shiga to Tokyo. While attending a vocational school, videos of his singing posted on TikTok began to attract attention, leading to rapid growth across social media. His total number of followers has now surpassed 35,000. With honest, down-to-earth lyrics influenced by his Kansai roots and a voice that connects deeply with listeners, HIRAI continues to expand his activities through street performances and social media. He originally balanced his music career while working as a hairstylist, but in late 2023, he made the decision to leave that profession and fully dedicate himself to music as a singer-songwriter. This marked the beginning of his journey as a full-time artist. During his middle school years, HIRAI experienced a period of school refusal and faced severe emotional struggles, reaching a point where he felt life had lost its meaning. It was during this darkest time that he discovered music. He realized that singing allowed him to express his true feelings honestly, which became the foundation of his artistic identity. These emotions were poured into his first original song, Muchi (Ignorance), a message to his past self and to others who may be struggling in similar ways. Through music that gently reassures listeners that they are not alone, HIRAI seeks to bring light to those who need it most. There are many who share the same experiences. That is why he continues to sing. So that he can become a light for someone else.
