As symbolized by the expression ''the fishes are laughing'' in the title, the song depicts a mysterious worldview different from the real world by comparing people to fish. The unique and surrealistic lyrics depict satirical and philosophical images of nature and everyday events, while the catchy melodies and light sound influenced by pop rock and alternative rock give listeners a variety of interpretations of the song.
