Diamond D,Lord Finesse,Fat Joe,O.C.,Big L,Buckwildが所属するクルー、D.I.T.C.のメンバーでShowbiz & A.G.としても数々のCLassics を生み出してきた A.G.。
今回Southpaw Chopと再びタッグを組みリリースする新作は、様々なカルチャーが入り組んだ都市しても知られるカリフォルニア州''ローレル・キャニオン''を舞台としたミュージックジャニーがテーマ。
SIde-A1「THE CANYON」SIde-A2「FANTASTIC BOYAGE」共にSouthpaw Chopが得意とするブーンバップサウンドをベースに置きながらも、今回のテーマに沿った独特のサイケ感をそれぞれに注入し見事に完成。キャリアにおいても新基軸となる楽曲に仕上がった。Side-BにはInstrumentalを収録。

時代に流されることなく、あくまでオリジナル盤のレコードからのサンプリングとビート・メイキングにこだわり続けるベテランDJ/プロデューサー。かつてはDJ KrushやDJ Hondaといった世界的なDJに師事、以降同世代のDev Largeらとハングアウトしながら、前述のDJ Krushのアルバム『覚醒』(1998年)への参加や、Nipps"God Bird"のプロデュースなどを通じて、その職人的な才能を徐々に世に知らしめてきた。ここ10年はレーベル・オーナーとして、Large Pro.やA.G.といったレジェンドとの共作シングルや、DJ Kocoらのミックス音源のリリースなどを数多く手掛けている。最近では自身名義でのリリースやプロデュース業も活発化、それらの音源をまとめた初の公式アルバム『Leftovers on the Table』をはじめ、前述のDJ KocoとのユニットFunky Soul Brothers、キング・オブ・ディギンことMuroとのユニットDouble Barrelの始動、Groove Merchant音源のオフィシャル・リワークなどを手掛ける傍ら、現場でのDJプレイに自ら手掛けたヴァイナルを織り込むスタイルで、イタリア、スイス他ヨーロッパでのギグを成功させるなど、その多岐に渡る活動からはしばらく目が離せそうにない。
