Osaka-based rapper Nihonzaru, who is active mainly in the Kansai region, released a two-track single titled "Aihan / eye hand" today, August 27. The tracks are produced by RhymeTube, with artwork by Yuki Ogawa.
This release features a unique concept that shifts focus away from conventional elements like "ears" or "voice" often associated with music, and instead centers on the "eyes" and "hands." Every lyric contains references to "sight" and "touch," exploring the theme of contrast between what is seen and what is physically acted upon. The title " Aihan", meaning
opposition or contradiction, reflects this conflicting relationship.
The first track, Aihan, and the second, eye hand, share the same pronunciation and lyrics, and are both grounded in dance music. However, each song was crafted to evoke a starkly contrasting impression depending on how, where, and by whom it is experienced.
