Solo Keita was born in Sangbarala Village, Hamana Region, Guinea, West Africa.He has been recognized as a versatile talent since his childhood.
He grew up playing in various places such as traditional ceremonies and festivals of the Malinke tribe.
He was discovered by his uncle Famadou Konate, one of Guinea's leading Djembe players.
He has toured all over the world as a member of Famoudou Konate & HAMANA FOLIKAN.
In 2004, he came to Japan and brought a lot of excitement and benefits to the country.
After that, he moved to Japan and has been active in workshops, painting, and live performances all over Japan.

In 2006, he began planting Djembe trees, and in 2009, he moved to the village of Sangbarala.

He has also been making efforts to continuously nurture traditional music culture, and has earned the trust and respect of many people.
He is one of the true inheritors of tradition, with a gentle personality and a sincere love for Djembe music.
