Beachside talks will digitally release their new single "Big Sky" on June 26, 2024.
Continuing from the previous work, the song was written and composed by Ryo Fukushima of Gt., the recording, mixing and mastering was done by Kensei Ogata, and the jacket was newly illustrated by manga artist and illustrator Horoda.
This song has strong elements of emo shoegaze like Turnover, Title Fight, and Parannoul, and is a song that lets you feel the frustration and loss unique to summer.
Beachside talks formed as a band in 2017 and began their full-fledged activities in 2022 with the release of their digital single "Umibe no Hanashi". In 2023, they released their 1st mini-album Marble Town, which received high praise from music listeners both domestically and internationally. Starting in 2024, they released four digital singles, including "Big Sky," which garnered significant attention on SNS, while also actively performing live. On March 19, 2025, they released their 1st full album, Hokorobi. This work is a concept album depicting the journey of a young man, scarred by the loss of a close friend, as he grows through the presence of an imaginary friend. Beneath his bright, calm, and gentle demeanor lies a catharsis overflowing from resignation, loss, and raw emotional outpouring. This is expressed not only through shoegaze and dream pop but also by blending diverse genres such as R&B, UK garage, grunge, and post-punk.
