    kota is a Japanese singer-songwriter whose relationship with music began in junior high school, when his father's influence led him to pick up the guitar for the first time. From that moment, music became an inseparable part of his life, and a quiet dream took root to one day share his own songs with the world. That long-held dream found its form through an unexpected creative partnership. kota writes both the lyrics and melodies himself, building each song from guitar-and-vocal sketches before collaborating with generative AI to shape the final arrangements. Initially skeptical of AI's role in music, he has come to embrace it as a remarkable musical partner one that opened a door he had long hoped to walk through. His catalog draws from original songs once performed with his former band as well as fresh compositions written day by day, released steadily across streaming platforms. With every track, kota carries a simple hope: that his music might bring a small moment of warmth or comfort to someone, somewhere.
