I tried to paint what my eyes could see

Layer by layer, a memory of me (Me)

The memory never fades away

That boy I was, still lives today

The canvas left, it sailed away

To distant lands, it could not stay

But even now, I still recall

That single day, I keep it all

With cicadas’ song, I walked the past

In summer shade, where moments last

A gentle breeze, the trees would sway

That scene still calls to me today

(However much I paint, I’m not content)

That shade of blue begins to bend (To bend)

Tears were hidden inside my brush

A childlike smile still means so much

With sunburnt arms, I traced the sky

An unfinished dream that will not die

I wonder who still sees that art

It warms the shadows in my heart

(A summer scene that won’t return)

But still, I keep the fire that burns (That burns)

My heart flies freely through the sky

An endless picture at goodbye
