The Bell is a forgotten British heavy rock band formed in London in 1971.
Driven by Melvin's distorted bass and fragile, haunting vocals, the band created a raw sound that blended heavy riffs, blues influences and psychedelic darkness.
Commercial success never came. Their recordings disappeared for decades until they were rediscovered through the SIS archives.
This release collects three surviving tracks:
"Shell Shock"
"Someone Needs"
"Scratch"
Loud, awkward, emotional and strangely beautiful.
A lost sound from the edge of Britain's underground.
Spectral Institute of Science(SIS) Spectral Institute of Science is an independent archival collective dedicated to recovering and publishing lost psychedelic transmissions documented between 1967 and 1972. Operating through recovered magnetic recordings, classified field observations, and spectral anomalies, SIS presents works attributed to multiple observation units including Velvet Bloom, The Spectrals, Moon Flowers, and Colour Syndrome. Founded under Village Styles, the Institute explores the unstable intersection of sound, vibration, perception, and altered states through recovered British and transatlantic psychedelic documents. Research in Sound Vibration Perception Archive access ongoing.
