**Fukushima Mon Amour**
Fukushima was once a place of beautiful seas, waves, and everyday life.
This instrumental piece reflects on the towns people were forced to leave behind after the nuclear disaster, and on the landscapes that were lost.
A beautiful melodica melody drifts over deep, spacious bass, expressing not only sorrow and loss, but also the sea and cherry blossoms that remain in memory, and the hope that light may one day return.
This is not music about destruction.
It is music made so that a lost paradise will never be forgotten.
A dub requiem by dUb MaFfia, filled with love and remembrance for Fukushima.
dUb MaFfia Formed in 2007, dUb MaFfia originally performed under the name ZION DUB. Driven by the idea of creating a form of dub that had never been heard before, the band blends dub with reggae, dance music, improvisation, and a wide range of other influences. Heavy, rolling basslines, floating melodica, deep echoes, and live dub mixing come together to create a different sonic landscape at every performance. Through low-end pressure, space, and improvisation, dUb MaFfia continues to develop its own "NEW DUB STYLE," taking listeners on a deep and ever-changing musical journey.
