Singer-songwriter from Setagaya, Tokyo. The artist name "Melmo" originates from the coined word "melmonythm", which combines melody, harmony, and rhythm, representing her desire to create "music that is uniquely her own." From a young age, she was drawn to Western music, influenced by artists such as The Carpenters, ABBA, KISS, Queen, and The Beatles. She began playing the guitar and singing in middle school, later taking on the role of vocalist in bands during high school and university, honing her expressive skills through live performances. One day, she discovered the ukulele at a music store and was captivated by its simple yet warm sound, leading her to shift from guitar to ukulele. In 2013, she began performing ukulele solo live shows and later expanded her musical journey into digital music production (DTM), using Logic Pro to create original songs featuring ukulele and vocals. She started releasing her music in 2014. Her performances have reached international audiences, including competing in the International Ukulele Contest in Hawaii and performing at a restaurant in Vietnam. After a period of illness forced her to pause her music career, she made a firm decision to "live with music." While continuing treatment, she made her comeback in 2024. The release of her music video "Deai wa Diamond" (Meeting is a Diamond), which was broadcast on the Shibuya Ai Vision, led to the formation of the band LOVECOMMOTIONS. Now, she is actively performing again, sharing her music with the world.
