    イギリス、ロンドンのカリビアン・コミュニティにて若者達が集い、1974年に結成されたレゲエ・バンド、ブラック・スレイト。英国だけでなくオランダやベルギー等ヨーロッパ各地の都市のレゲエ・チャートを賑わした1976年リリースのシングル"Sticks Man"にて初のヒットを飛ばす。また、UKサウンド・システムの現場で好んでプレイされるルーツ・ナンバー”Romans”等ヒット曲多数。そんな、70年代のUKレゲエ・シーンを代表するブラック・スレイトのベーシストであり当時のシーンの雰囲気をダイレクトに伝えるヴォーカリストの一人。
