This song was inspired by the TV anime "Chi. - About the Movement of the Earth," which is based on a manga. It's one of my favorite works, and the word thaumazein (which means surprise or wonder in Greek) is used in the story. It has a philosophical context, but I think that everyone feels different thaumazein, so I chose it as the title. It's a powerful and refreshing song that even people who haven't seen "Chi." can relate to.
