In Gratitude

Everything was there for me
Yet my heart was never filled
Always searching what was missing
I lost sight of happiness

But when the wind swept through my soul
I only realized after losing all

Now I give thanks for what I have
For the little miracles, thank You Lord
In the tears I found it clear
The truest happiness
Even if I lose it all again
In gratitude my heart is satisfied

One gentle smile can rescue me
One drop of water lets me live
The days that I once took for granted
Now shine like jewels in the light

When I lift my eyes and breathe in deep
I feel Your love surrounding me

Now I give thanks for what I have
For the little miracles, thank You Lord
Through the darkness I have seen
The truest happiness
Even if I lose it all again
In gratitude my soul will sing

The Lord provides, and the Lord may take away
Yet still His Name I'll always praise
Beyond it all there shines so bright
