Former NMB48 member Momoka Kinoshita graduated in 2017 and launched her solo music career in 2019. In February 2023, under the moniker "Bukkoro Momoka," she dramatically shifted from her signature acoustic and full-band performances toward hyperpop, electropop, and bedroom pop. Early in this new phase, she wrote and produced her own material using DTM, collaborating with artists such as Chiaki Mayumura, Kanano Senritsu, Amane Uyama, and honninman to complete her five-track EP Toki-maki Gachireal.

Shortly after its release, she embarked on a year-long, monthly release schedule and delivered numerous live shows. Recently, she has also penned songs for NMB48 and appeared as a featured guest on tracks by various artists.

On August 7, 2025, she will release her first full-length album, Yūrei no Yō ni ("Like a Ghost"). This eight-song collection includes her newest live favorites, blending her trademark aggressive electronic production with the DIY, nostalgically tinged electro sounds of artists like Yaeji and UMI. On the track "Shitai" ("Corpse"), she worked with arranger Cwondo, a standout figure in today's scene, and on "Anata o Izanu" ("Invitation to You"), she reunited with guitarist Shinichi Itō (HINTO / SPARTA LOCALS), who supported her during her earlier "Momoka Kinoshita" era. The result is a masterful album that both reflects her own journey and resonates with the current musical landscape.

Ahead of the album, the title track "Yūrei no Yō ni" will be released as a single, accompanied by a music video directed by rising talent Sawa Kawakami-best known for her feature-length debut Jigoku no SE ("Hell's SE"), which she completed at age twenty. Kawakami's video captures the song's haunting, nostalgic atmosphere in vividly unsettling imagery.
