  Need a Flex is a Tokyo based artist who moves freely through the worlds of Rage Plug and Pluggnb. He builds a unique sound that blends floating melodies raw aggression and cyberpunk energy. In Tokyos underground rap scene he stands out for his ability to balance precise mellow tones with rough emotional impulses. His flow is versatile sometimes shouted sometimes sung and his dreamlike yet aggressive lyrics pull listeners into a deep immersive world. On stage Need a Flex turns emotion into explosive energy capturing the feelings of Tokyos youth and transforming every live performance into a powerful experience. In 2024 he released his first mixtape Destruction and Rebirth expressing both strong ego and fragile emotion over Rage and Pluggnb driven beats. The project features Myghty Tommy ShowyRENZO and kamui and captures the pulse of a new generation rising from Japans underground. In 2025 he gained national attention after being selected as one of the top 46 finalists out of more than 7000 applicants on ABEMA TV RAPSTAR 2025. Need a Flex continues to push Tokyos underground forward with his emotional innovative sound and fearless attitude.
