Enishi -The Sake Brewer's Song- (english ver.)

missato

Chasing dreams without answers, why can't I

Letting go of all my hesitations

I feel the life flowing out through the stream

Here I stand — alone

Ooh Everything is laid bare, but I don't know

Ooh Still I'm standing here, and I won't let go

Circle — of all the bonds that we have tied

What wonders will come to life?

Circle — my heart exalts with joy

Circle — where will you lead me to?

The end of the road

Lies far beyond me now

Woah oh oh oh oh

Forever on

Hours and days blurring into eternity

Will it ever feel natural to me?

By the rice-field paths, a gentle autumn breeze

Here I walk — alone

Ooh Every day is changing, but I don't know

Ooh Still I'm standing here, and I won't let go

Circle — of all the bonds that we have tied, a new drop has come to shine

Circle — standing resolutely

Somehow — I hope this sake will find its way to you, and more

Woah oh oh oh oh

Woah oh oh oh oh

Circle — of all the bonds that we have tied

What wonders will come to life?

Circle — my heart exalts with joy

Circle — where will you lead me to?

The end of the road

Lies far beyond me now

Woah oh oh oh oh

Forever on

It's a circle, it's a circle, it's a circle

Yeah

Enishi -The Sake Brewer's Song- (english ver.)

    missato

Enishi - The Sake Brewers' Song - is part of the "Job Song" series by singer-songwriter missato, who creates songs inspired by real professions and the people behind them.

The song was born from interviews with people involved in sake brewing. Over the course of two years, missato visited sake breweries, planted rice used for sake production, and listened to the thoughts, experiences, and daily lives of tōji (master brewers) and kurabito (brewery workers), creating a song that places the people behind the craft at its heart.

The title Enishi refers to the invisible connections that bind not only people to one another, but also the natural environment, water, rice, inherited traditions, and future generations that support the world of sake.

Encounters with kurabito. Encounters with sake. Encounters with the land.

A song that invites listeners to discover the people behind sake and the appeal of their work.
