NY-based artist Ludio has released his latest single, "Nakama". As of May 2026, Ludio has been making consecutive appearances at major domestic hip-hop festivals, leading to a rapid surge in attention within the scene.
His recent activities include performing on the stage of "KOBE MELLOW CRUISE 2026" as a member of the "HOOD UP SHOWCASE" hosted by kzm, as well as an appearance at "POP YOURS 2026," one of the largest festivals in Japan. Dropped after these large-scale stages, "Nakama" captures the energy of the festivals while signaling his transition into the next phase of his career.
The track features production by krynX, a young producer responsible for numerous hits in the current Japanese hip-hop scene, including MIKADO's "ENVY". Both Ludio and krynX are 20 years old, marking the first collaboration between these two hitmakers of the same generation. Created in resonance with fellow generational talent following these major milestones, this work presents a new standard for modern Japanese hip-hop.
Born in Japan in 2005, Ludio spends his childhood in Tokyo and moves to New York when he turns seven years old. He started his musical career in 2019 after he moved to Osaka, Japan. He makes all his songs in freestyle and handles everything from recording to mixing himself. After releasing music on soundcloud, he gradually attracted attention due to its high quality, and from 2021 he will expand the range of activities by expanding to Tokyo. He made a guest appearance on Tim Pepperoni's song "Chrome Hearts" released on January 23, 2022, and is one of the most promising artists in the Japanese scene this year.
