Yuki Chiba, who announced his global debut as a rapper last year, has released the digital single "still," an ocean-themed ambient track by Hiroto Taniguchi, who creates and produces the ambient rap soundscape that is Chiba's other musical facet. The track beautifully captures the serenity and the unchanging expression of the ocean, evoked through the use of synths and reversed sounds.
This is the first single to be released from the new series "DEEP BLUE" (released February 27th) of the popular compilation "SALT... meets ISLAND CAFE," supervised by beach life magazine/media "SALT...."
The cover photo, created by surf photographer Kenyu Takahashi, who also works on "SALT...," visualizes sound in an art photo. Designer Masato Maekawa (tAnkers inc.) has created a stunning design under the supervision of "SALT...," expressing a unique worldview.
Music producer. He produced all the tracks on Chiba Yuki's third album, "Eien," and has attracted attention as the person who oversees the album's overall worldview. Stillz & Yuki Chiba's "separated at birth," released at the same time as "Eien," also features tracks he produced himself, broadening the scope of his activities by creating sounds that highlight the artist's unique style. He has also participated in many other productions, including arranging and writing songs. He also occasionally performs live, active in both production and performance, including Chiba Yuki's Budokan performance, as well as on stage at Blue Note Tokyo and supporting DYGL.
