Between Dreams and Reality

The self-cover of the track "Mental State" from the 2021 release Human - EP has taken the dark and moody tone of the original and boldly expanded it into a wider range of expression via an orchestral arrangement.

The accompanying visuals were created by the projectionist hidekimasuda, including a live performance that he assembled specifically for this track. The striking cover is also his work.

The mastering, meanwhile, is the work of Matsusaka Daisuke, someone with a deep connection to the world of classical music. After pursuing the sound most suited to this track from multiple perspectives, he ultimately decided to add analog processing. This realizes a sound with both warmth and swelling volume.
