Fukuoka-based singer-songwriter KUBOMI releases her new single "blue."

A heartfelt lost-love song, "blue" marks a new chapter in KUBOMI's musical journey. Written and composed by KUBOMI, the track features arrangements by the rising arranger CHOYO, known for production work rooted in contemporary jazz, neo-soul, R&B, gospel, and funk.

Combining KUBOMI's folk and jazz influences with CHOYO's refined and modern soundscape, "blue" presents a fresh musical color while preserving the warmth and emotional honesty at the core of her songwriting.

Artist Profile

Kubomi
Kubomi is a singer-songwriter based in Fukuoka, Japan. Centered around left-handed guitar and voice, her music draws inspiration from folk, jazz, bossa nova, and soul. Blending delicate expression with emotional strength, she creates intimate yet sophisticated soundscapes through rich harmonic textures and warm acoustic performances. She is currently a navigator for the radio program "KITAKYU JAZZ STREET+" on CROSS FM. KUBOMI released her debut mini album "Kuchu Suiei" in 2020, followed by the cover album "Moon River" in 2023. The album received reviews in the Japanese jazz magazines Jazz Life and Jazz Hihyo.
