    AKI Sasaki is an exceptional Japanese artist. The acoustic guitarist impresses with his playing, which oscillates between traditional Japanese sounds and abstract neo-tonality. AKI is influenced by the music of his homeland as well as by modern sounds from North America and Europe. AKI Sasaki is also known for his collaborations with musicians of various genres in Japan and abroad. In addition to his busy concert schedule with the koto virtuoso Kuniko Obina, he plays in the duo YUGEN with Hideki Ishima, a sitarla, sitar player and guitarist and ex-member of the Japanese rock band Flower Travellin Band.
