Playground

petalhead

I'm trying to find a way to tell you

You left the door open behind

Paint the frames a new past time

Leave a little space between those lines

Maybe I'll think that you're mine

Mama told me, be sure to hang on to the best

Memories they're overflowing

A spilled cold cup of coffee

Don't keep me on my toes

Why not come over?

Spend all of our nights

Soak in all the thoughts in your mind

We can build a playground, a merry-go-round

How I feel when my feet trace your name on the ground

I'm trying to find a way to show you

I think that you're one of a kind

Won't you believe me when I say

I knew all of this time

Memories they're overflowing

A spilled cold cup of coffee

Don't keep me on my toes

Why not come over?

Spend all of our nights

Soak in all the thoughts in your mind

We can build a playground, a merry-go-round

How I feel when my feet trace your name on the ground

You had me going, pretty boy

But I'm not your toy

Is it wrong for me to stay away

Don't bring me back today

Your playlists had me fooled

Got me fine tuning my own ground rules

Don't keep me on my toes

Why not come over?

Spend all of our nights

Soak in all the thoughts in your mind

We can build a playground, a merry-go-round

How I feel when my feet trace your name on the ground
