STAND BY ME (2026 Remastered)

Artist Profile

• toykiss

Singer-songwriter toykiss explores the emotions we carry as we make our way through life: love and loss, the people who stand beside us, frustration and setbacks, and the hope that keeps us moving forward. Through heartfelt Japanese lyrics and memorable melodies, toykiss turns deeply personal experiences into songs that speak to anyone trying to find their own way through an imperfect world. In "LOST GENERATION," he draws from his own experience as part of Japan's so-called Lost Generation, a generation that came of age during years of economic uncertainty, expressing both the frustration of feeling left behind and the determination to never give up hope. "FLAG" celebrates the bonds between friends who continue to support each other even when life takes them in different directions. "STAND BY ME" is a heartfelt tribute to someone whose presence gives us the strength to keep going, while "bloom" confronts the pain of giving everything only to feel that what you built has been taken away, and the struggle to rise again. On stage, toykiss combines acoustic guitar with live looping, layering instruments and vocals in real time to create a rich, multi-layered sound as a solo performer. Based in Tokyo, he regularly performs in Shimokitazawa while continuing to share his music through TikTok LIVE and other digital platforms. With a growing vision beyond Japan, toykiss is also looking toward new audiences and connections across Asia. For the days when life works out, and the days when it doesn't. toykiss sings for those who keep walking their own path, and for all the emotions we find along the way.
