Rapper Lil taro boy, who explores new forms of Japanese rap, has released a new song titled "KU-HAKU" (Blank).
The song expresses the endings of various human relationships through lyrics linked to the word ""blank."" It features a sound that further evolves the atmosphere of 2000s R&B, inherited from one of his representative songs, "Chocolate and Potato Chips."
Moreover, this track serves as the lead single from his upcoming album currently in production, with the album scheduled for release this spring.
Tokyo-based rapper Lil taro boy began creating music during the era when SoundCloud rappers were leaving a major mark on the scene, launching his career under the "Lil" moniker like many of his peers. His lyrics, while straightforward and easy to follow, are crafted with a sense of depth, staying rooted in everyday reality while remaining approachable. This balance has earned him resonance not only among hip-hop fans but also across a wider audience. He released his first EP Jikan Geijutsu in 2021, followed by To me in 2023 and Traveling in 2024. Since 2023, he has been hosting the Hip Hop / Bass Music party HOPES at Nakameguro Solfa.
