  A band that began among classmates in the Fine Arts department in Onomichi, Hiroshima, [Osoroshia Kakumei] is now active as a solo project led by guitarist and vocalist Deathmaid Onishi. For live performances, she assembles a minimal lineup of support members, creating a raw, chaotic sound on stage. Onishi handles every aspect of her work herself-artwork, music videos, cover design, composition, lyrics, recording, and mixing. Created through the primitive and solitary process of home recording, the sounds she forces out of a single computer are cheap, distorted, and unpolished. Yet it is precisely this noise and roughness that define the aesthetic of [ Osoroshia Kakumei.] Unfinished, screaming, worn down, and sharp-her sound, visuals, and voice. All of it is handmade, an extension of her daily life and her pain.
