Noise on the Rooftop

A rooftop is a place that feels close to everywhere, and close to nowhere.
That is why it feels unreal - why it can suddenly turn into a quiet celebration. I have always been pulled toward rooftops. Music feels the same to me. So do live venues.

This record holds the things I wanted to keep in my arms:
the regret and the invincibility of walking home alone after drinking,
the cities I met while wandering through the night,
the scenes I once saw only in films.
