• Hannah Takatoh

  Hannah Takatoh. Singer-songwriter. Born August 7th. Started classical piano lessons in kindergarten. However, for a long time, she only practiced right before lessons and recitals. Discovered the joy of writing lyrics and melodies in high school, and wrote them down in notebooks. She stopped taking piano lessons when she was preparing for university entrance exams, and never touched a piano again. Even after entering university and working, she continued to write lyrics and melody lines during class, while walking, on the train, in the shower... In 2014, she decided to add accompaniment to the songs she was writing, so she studied chords and bought an 88-key digital piano. She started playing the piano again. She knew there was no way she could move her hands and mouth in different rhythms, but she pushed aside the thought and tried to force herself to sing while playing the piano. She began to sing and play the piano regularly at live music venues in Tokyo. She has about 300 original songs. They used to perform live at music venues and festivals around the country, but because it has become difficult to hold in-person events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she release digital music once a month (on the 7th of every month) and release music videos (on the 22nd of every month). For five years, they have continued to release music on the 7th of every month, and have over 60 songs available on subscription services.
