As the third single from the cover project k.o.i. note, "Aoi Photograph feat. Asako" (as known as "PHOTOGRAPH OF YESTERDAYS") is set to be released on August 27. In contrast to the two previously released songs this month, this one is a mellow mid-tempo tune that showcases Asako's clear, expansive vocals and a refreshing arrangement.
The original version is a timeless classic by Seiko Matsuda--so popular that it's featured on her best-of albums--though it was surprisingly released as a B-side track at the time.
This cover version remains faithful to the original, yet adds a distinctive flavor of R&B and AOR through its bold keyboard arrangement in the chorus. The drums are carefully programmed to retain a natural, live feel, striking a fresh balance between analog and digital elements that deserves special attention.

    Natsuki Harada of evening cinema and Yuho Kadono's k.o.i. note is a cover song project that revives songs that have not yet received much attention in the recent city pop revival, giving them a nostalgic yet refreshing rearrange and collaborating with various singers to bring them back to life in the present day. k.o.i. stands for Keys Of Inheritance, embodying the aim to serve as a key to accessing Japan's musical heritage and passing it on to future generations.Both members of k.o.i. note also host a music-themed Podcast called MUSIC VACATION.
