The human body is made up of intricate physics
And everything—from our senses to our memories—is conveyed through electrical signals
We are masses of protein
And we are the “ark” of our genes
What is engraved within them
And where do they lead? No one knows
Sorrow, laughter, anger, joy—
These are the result of billions upon billions of signals constantly seeking answers
Moving our mouths, dilating our pupils
Triggering sweat, making us tremble with rage, weep with sorrow
And laugh—we are merely voicing these emotions
“Songs” stir the heart
And people are drawn to “beauty.”
These emotions that stir the heart
Are undoubtedly deep within this chest
My heart grows warm
Do genes want to pass on to the next generation so desperately?
Did the DNA helix give birth to the emotion called the “heart”?
But since the “heart” is formless, for all eternity, from anywhere in the body
It will likely never be found
If you love someone, you grow “warm”
If something sad happens, you feel “pain”
If I close my eyes, it is certainly there
The “heart” is definitely in the chest
The “heart” rarely brings harsh, agonizing pain
It is so cruel
Does living as a human being
Mean enduring such suffering?
People throughout the ages have surely
Overcome suffering with wisdom and courage
A human life is one per person—something very precious
When you’re troubled, distressed, in pain, sad, or want to cry
Always rely on the people around you
There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of
If you have the courage to talk to someone
You can overcome any hardship
We have wisdom
We have words, and we have writing
Let’s talk a lot, laugh a lot
And share our hardships
Talking changes the future
That courage will surely bear fruit in the distant future
For example
There are two people who will meet in the far, far future
There might be two people who find happiness in the far, far future

Where the Ark Is Headed

As one biologist put it, Humans are nothing more than vessels for genes (vessels = arks); in other words, we are nothing but a mass of proteins and electrical signals. Yet, even though we are supposedly just matter, we shed tears when we hear a song and feel our hearts swell at something beautiful. It has not yet been fully explained how the brain (electrical signals) can produce such subjective emotions as sadnes and tenderness. It is precisely because we have emotions that we know love, and at the same time, we are plunged into deep anguish. A philosopher once said, Humans are sentenced to the punishment of freedom.Living is inseparable from choosing, worrying, and suffering. That is why people sometimes find themselves frozen in place, overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of their pain. Yet, humanity has overcome this through wisdom, courage, and words How do we share and overcome the suffering of living as human beings No one can predict how we will evolve. I chose this as the title of the song: Where the Ark Is Headed We must consider whether we can leave words that save the hearts of future generations-those who will take up the baton-amidst the difficulties and conflicts of life. The latter part also touches on bullying. While physical harm from bullying is unforgivable, the emotional wounds it causes are accompanied by a pain like being stabbed with a knife. I wrote in the lyrics that one should seek help from those around them as soon as possible. The line No matter how much I worry, struggle, or wish for it, nothing changes expresses the heart s scream and panic. We are not merely lumps of protein. We are people with hearts. I also poured my wish for the eradication of bullying into this song. It is a long song, but I will be satisfied if the message comes across.
