Moon in June

    Moon in June

The process of memory unraveling,
the image staining deep...
Until the thread we can no longer retie
vanishes into the wind.

Inspired by the famous Hyakunin Isshu poem "Sewohayami," Moon in June's latest single traces the delicate, aching outlines of memories that have drifted apart.

A fluttering curtain, faint sunlight filtering through trees, and a thread of fate that can never be retied-the song captures the beautiful, fleeting "breath" where past and present intersect, weaving it into a tapestry of layered soundscapes and a heartbreakingly emotional melody.

It is a piece that shines a gentle light once more on the moments we once shared, which have now softly unraveled with time.

  • Moon in June

In 2020, they released their 1st EP, "Uminari," which was based on post-rock, shoegaze, and dream pop. In 2022, they released their 2nd EP, "evergreen." In 2023, they released their 1st full album, "Roman and Soft Blue City). This album incorporates many new techniques for the band, including the new, fast-paced post-punk number "Head for München," the nostalgic and sentimental title track "Roman and Soft Blue City" and "Sweet Little Lies," and "Slowdive," which captivates with its waves of decadent noise enveloped in deep reverb. It contains 12 tracks. In the spring of 2025, they released their 2nd full album, "Colorless You" , and performed at live music venues nationwide to commemorate its release. In 2026, they held a solo concert at Shinjuku Loft. They also expanded their activities by successfully holding their first overseas concerts in Bangkok and Taipei.
