First collaborative track cider to be released digitally on 19 June

Sayo Komada, who has garnered attention both at home and abroad with across social media platforms, will release their first collaborative track, cider, on 19 June 2026 via various music streaming services.

Shotaro Nishida is active both domestically and internationally as the frontman of the brother-sister rock band SAHAJi. Their debut single Future In The
Sky reached No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart, attracting attention from the British rock scene.

Meanwhile, Sayo Komada is an accomplished Tsugaru shamisen player who, whilst honing her skills in traditional music, is also engaged in a wide range of activities, including recording music for video games and commercials, and sharing her work via social media.

cider is a work that fuses Nishida is melodic rock sensibility with Komada is delicate yet powerful shamisen tones. Despite having different roots in rock and traditional Japanese music,
their musical styles blend naturally, creating a new soundscape.

The two first met on the YouTube programme ROCK FUJIYAMA.
They subsequently deepened their friendship following a collaboration on Sayo Komada is track ShamiRIZE, and their shared desire to create a new work together one day has now come to fruition in the form of cider.
Furthermore, in May 2026, by chance, both artists visited Manchester in the UK for live performances and met again there. The title of the track derives from the traditional British drink, cider, which they enjoyed during that visit.
