Japanese drum player Yuki Sakurai's first single "Yonohikari". In preparation for the official release on September 1, 2024, we are distributing a 30-second viewing version for everyone to listen to as soon as possible.

Composed and performed by Yuki Sakurai. The arrangement was handled by Shigeharu Takagi, a former member of music unit 135 and current composer/arranger/bassist.

Imagine a night shining with the moonlight and city lights at the end of summer. A slightly sad melody composed and the beating of Japanese drums. And Shigeharu Takagi's oriental arrangement is a masterpiece that will move your heart.

Artist Profile

  • SAKURAI YUKI

    SAKURAI Yuki was born in 1985, in Japan. His Zodiac sign is Libra. Influenced by his mother and older brother who both were drum players, he grew up with Japanese drums. He started playing Japanese drums at the age of 7, and performing at local festivals. After graduating from high school, he became a trainee at a Japanese drum group Kodo, and experienced domestic and international tours. After leaving the group, Yuki belonged to an entertainment agency Amuse, and became a founding member of the Showa Kayo Revue Theater Company Torahime Ichiza. The company performed every day at a dedicated theater in Asakusa, Japan and he have appeared in over 3,000 performances in total. His role was not limited to play Japanese drums, but also included a wide variety of activities of singing, dancing, and acting. Yuki became an independent entertainer in 2019. In July 2024, his official web site was launched, marking the 20th anniversary of his career.
