"Disco Ball" is a samba track that layers memories of time gone by over Latin rhythms and the euphoria of disco.
Amid the festive sound of bouncing maracas and percussion, images emerge of an outdoor party we once found our way to, and a dazzling season that felt as though it would last forever.
Though bright and made for dancing, the song carries beneath its surface a quiet sadness for a time that can never be recovered.
As the disco ball keeps turning, I search within its light for a vanished landscape, and for someone who may still be out there somewhere in the wind.
