This album presents Fujihara Taku's own answer to the question, "How can life get better?" Built around a diverse range of beats, including R&B, Pain, and old-school hip-hop, the project captures shifting emotions through rhythmic rap flows and introspective lyrics. It portrays the contradiction of being nearly consumed by jealousy and anger, while still hoping to believe in the goodness of people. That deeply human conflict is sealed into the sound of this work. An album to accompany you on nights when you want to sink deep into your thoughts, moments when you need to face yourself, or times when you want to lift yourself up once again.

Artist Profile

  • Taku Fujihara

Born in Iwate, Japan, he is a DIY rapper and beatmaker who handles every aspect of his music on his own, from production to engineering. He fell in love with rap after watching Sister Act 2 in elementary school, and has been driven ever since by the idea of creating everything for himself. Part of that came from necessity, but even more from the belief that doing it all alone is simply cooler. With sharp, fast-paced rhymes and a smooth, easy listening flow, his music stands out for how naturally it connects with the listener. At the core of his lyrics is a strong sense of self motivation refusing to be defeated by weakness, turning negative experiences into fuel, and continuing to move forward. True to his contrarian nature, he admits that being stubborn has cost him more than once but that same attitude is also part of what defines him.
