The song "Miracle of Love" went through twists and turns. A song that I had included in a demo caught the eye of a producer, several singers sang it, and the version sung by a male singer with a voice similar to that of Fumiya Fujii was adopted as the theme song for the Japanese version of the Korean drama "Truth" broadcast on CS. At that time, the copyright company offered to manage the song for ten years. In the past, the only work of mine that has been registered with JASRAC is "Miracle of Love." Now that the contract term has expired, I am free to do whatever I want with the song. However, I did not think of distributing it again. I was aware that I had given the song to someone else and that it had left my hands. However, I am attached to this first demo, even though the lyrics are very different from the version I later released to the world. That is why I decided to release this version, because I felt that the "truth" was here.

Artist Profile

  • Iwashita Keisuke Sardine

My name is Iwashita Keisuke, also known as Sardine. Over the 20 years from 1983 to 2003, I have recorded about 200 songs by myself. I compiled these into eight albums and released them one by one in 2024. In 2025, instead of an anthology, I will release an album edited in chronological order. Sardine's music is diverse. It ranges from accessible pop to socially conscious message songs, from progressive constructions to punk subversiveness. I'm a formidable pianist, a mad synthesizer player, a halting guitarist, a tone-reading bassist, a loose percussionist, and a clumsy singer-songwriter with solo multi-choruses. All of these parts are integrated into one persona. A mixture of romance, cold-heartedness and passion, depicting incoherent anxiety and yearning for something unattainable, this is an oldie but an evergreen. Please listen to Sardine's expressive music.
