Artist Profile

  • Takeo y Sentimient tropica

Shimizu Takeo to Nangoku Kibun Takeo y Sentimient tropica A band from Japan. Based in Okayama, which is famously known as the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea. They are influenced by vintage music from around the world in the 1960s, especially they respect the energetic African percussive rhythms and Central American music. "Takeo Shimizu", who leads the band, is said to have been influenced to create his music by the rhythm and the slow moving waves of the vibrant Seto Inland Sea of Japan. He's also an avid photographer, and his music is often described as "visual." The inspiring ensemble they have created will urge people from all walks of life to dance and feel the joys of music. Unfortunately the band could not gather for this 1st album because of the world pandemic."Takeo Shimizu" recorded the basic track himself. Recently, the band have reviewed the traditional rhythms and melodies of their own country, and added them to their line-up.
