Obsession (feat. YOUR SONG IS GOOD, Makoto Takahashi & SONPUB)

RIP SLYME's MC, RYO-Z, is releasing his new single, "Obsession feat. YOUR SONG IS GOOD, Makoto Takahashi from Omoide Yaro A Team, SONPUB" on Saturday, November 9th, available for digital download. This track is the lead single from his first solo album, Obsession, which is set for release on Wednesday, December 4th. The album will feature both new tracks and songs RYO-Z has previously collaborated on.

This single features an all-star lineup, including YOUR SONG IS GOOD and Makoto Takahashi (trumpet/vocals) from Omoide Yaro A Team. Joining them is SONPUB, trackmaker/producer and RYO-Z's longtime friend, who worked as the arranger. Together, they created a groovy ska sound with club-style arrangements, resulting in an upbeat, feel-good party tune.

The lyrics reflect on RYO-Z's journey so far, written with the milestones of RIP SLYME's 30th anniversary and his own 50th birthday, which he celebrated this July. The track wraps up with RYO-Z's signature style as he proclaims, 'I'm not done having fun yet!'-a standout moment in the song.
