evylock (EVerY Life On Cold Keen) was formed in Hokkaido, Japan in 1998. profunda bluo" is their first full-length album in their 22nd year of existence.
profunda bluo" means "deep blue" in Esperanto, an artificial language.
Their music is influenced by 90's alternative rock, such as Dinosaur Jr, At The Drive In, and Drive Like Jehu.
They also draw from their close friends Taken and Hopesfall, as well as Hokkaido bands such as bloodthirsty butchers, cowpers, and bonescratch, to create a unique alternative hardcore sound.
The lyrics of this album are written by Takahashi, a high school Japanese teacher and a researcher of Kenji Miyazawa, based on the world of Kenji Miyazawa and his mental image of Hokkaido.
