Back when CHRONOMETER was just three members, they recorded a set of demos. Raw. Violent. Never meant to be heard.
After years buried in the shadows, those lost sessions are finally hitting streaming.
The sound is filthy. Loud. It crushes like concrete.
No polish. No compromise. Just pure sonic weight.
This is the blueprint of chaos. This is where the fire started.
From the ashes of the influential punk and hardcore scene of the 90s and early 2000s, former members of BENTROOT formed a new powerhouse: CHRONOMETER. Based in Tokyo, the band evolved through multiple lineup changes before releasing their debut album in 2015, showcasing a digital rock inspired sound. Their second release marked a return to their roots, removing electronic elements in favor of raw instrumentation. With influences ranging from rock, hardcore, emo, to electro, CHRONOMETER embraced a more emotionally charged "Mixture" sound that reflected their origins. Now, their third album introduces a bold new concept: "Kakusei Shinkaron", a fusion of evolution and awakening. It captures the journey CHRONOMETER has taken so far, while pointing toward their continuous growth. Rooted in loud rock, the album features emotionally rich guitar ensembles, creative vocal lines, and for the first time in their career, lyrics in Japanese. Their one-of-a-kind sound, shaped through the CHRONOMETER filter, is a must-hear. CHRONOMETER is ready to redefine the POST MIXTURE sound, straight out of Tokyo.
