The Sun Just Won

Cosmos Boys return with their new midsummer single, "The Sun Just Won."

Known for building songs around astronomical phenomena to describe everyday emotion, the three-piece takes a sharp turn here into full-speed pop punk. It is a track written to push someone out the door, released into the heat of midsummer.

On the longest day of the year, the planet leans toward the sun without anyone asking it to. Against that quiet celestial motion, the song traces a day spent unable to leave a room, and the moment of finally running out of it.

A guerrilla release, dropped without warning in the middle of summer.
