Freeedom - the debut album by Juz, a 3-piece rock band from Tokyo that pursues a driving rock sound centered on riffs and grooves.
They had built their career as a four-piece band, but suddenly shifted to a trio lineup for this album, with Juz taking on the roles of vocalist and guitarist.
"Freeedom" is a 10-track full-length album released on CD on January 30, 2025. To date, 8 of the 10 tracks have been released as singles, and 8 music videos have been released. Following the international radio airplay, all 10 tracks from the album will be made available simultaneously on various streaming services.
The album features a diverse range of tracks, from driving songs that showcase Juz's signature riffs and grooves to lyrical pieces like "Karin".
Many of the themes described on the album were written over the course of her long musical career as a way to encourage herself.
The 10 tracks unfold at a breakneck pace, and listening to the album from start to finish allows listeners to experience Juz's musicality on a deeper level.
Juz is a three-piece rock band from Tokyo that pursues a driving sound centered on riffs and grooves. Centered around songwriter Juz, the band transitioned from a four-piece to a three-piece lineup in 2024. They currently perform as a trio consisting of Juz (vocals/guitar), Shin Wakizawa (bass), and Yusuke Yoshioka (drums). They uniquely fuse the powerful riffs and grooves of 60s and 70s rock with elements of jazz and funk, striving for both the intensity of their songs and dynamic live performances. In January 2025, they released their first full-length album, "Freeedom" on CD. Since then, they have been actively promoting each track by continuously releasing singles digitally and releasing music videos for 8 of the 10 songs. Since the end of 2025, their music has been broadcast internationally across North America, Europe, and Asia through radio stations such as Nu Rock Radio, IndieLifeRadio, West Coast Radio FM 87.6, Ipswich Community Radio 105.7 FM, Radio Reverb FM 92.7, Alex Berlin, Powerplant Radio, and Fantasy Radio UK. In November 2026, the full 10-track album "Freeedom" will be available for streaming. In addition to their domestic activities, the band is expanding its reach from Tokyo to the world, building on their track record of airplay on international radio stations.
