  **Birthday:** February 7, 2011, at 1:59 AM **Blood Type:** A **Sign:** A ROSE CALLED YUMEKA Born to Rie Yanagisawa, the head chef of "Kappo HIRYU," a restaurant operated by HIRYU, YUMEKA is also the older sister of SAIA, another artist affiliated with HIRYU. At just 1 year and 8 months old, she began helping with vegetable packing and shipping. By the age of 3, she was assisting in the kitchen, and at 4, she started using kitchen knives. Throughout elementary school, she never ate school lunches, as her mother prepared and delivered homemade meals for her every day. While studying culinary arts, she also prepared for the entrance examination of a prestigious junior high school under the guidance of Dr. Inui, who had attended the same school. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic led to the introduction of remote learning, she began seriously reflecting on her future and ultimately decided to devote herself entirely to cooking. With the school's understanding and support, she continued her elementary education remotely until graduation. Since entering junior high school, she has attended school only for examinations and interviews, dedicating six hours a day to hands-on culinary training under the guidance of Kijima, HIRYU's culinary advisor. She also participates in recipe development and video production. Beyond cooking, YUMEKA has a strong passion for design and fashion, actively pursuing creative projects, artwork, and modeling. In March 2023, she traveled to France as the culinary team member accompanying HIRYU's president and his wife, who had been invited to Paris Fashion Week. On July 7, 2023, at HIRYU Restaurant's "2023 Tanabata Festival Event," she fulfilled her long-held dream of making her debut as a HIRYU chef at the age of 12, under Kijima's supervision. On February 14, 2025, she released her first song, "HAPPY VALENTINE," marking her recording debut. The release coincided with a recipe video featuring her original "Chocolate Cream Tart," made without cacao, dairy products, or eggs. In May 2025, at the age of 14, she took on the role of cosmetics buyer for HIRYU's newly established cosmetics division, participating in product sourcing and business meetings with suppliers. On April 1, 2026, in recognition of her achievements and exceptional dedication to her profession, YUMEKA officially joined HIRYU as a full-time employee at the age of 15.
