Southbound train in the morning haze
Winding through these gentle days
Fields are warm and skies unfold
Like stories my heart never told
Dusty boots and an open mind
Left the dark, no need to rewind
Crickets hum where silence grows
Peace is somewhere the spring wind blows
Under the Southern Cross I breathe
Found a place where I can leave
Every sorrow, every fight
Washing clean in soft daylight
Let the southern hills decide
What I keep and what I hide
No more running, no more loss
Just the warmth of Southern Cross
Hands in pockets, I stroll alone
But never felt so much at home
Voices distant, but never gone
They hum in roots and carry on
Wine-stained air, the blossom’s hue
Turns each breath into something new
And all I feared, I now forgive
The south has shown me how to live
Under the Southern Cross I breathe
Found a place where I can leave
Every sorrow, every fight
Washing clean in soft daylight
Let the southern hills decide
What I keep and what I hide
No more running, no more loss
Just the warmth of Southern Cross
A map in my chest
A tune in my soul
The farther I drift
The more I feel whole
Under the Southern Cross I breathe
Found a place where I believe
In the calm, in light and moss
I found myself — Southern Cross

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
