Artist Profile

  • Satone

Satone is a rising R&B and Soul artist from Hyogo, Japan, currently based in Tokyo. Influenced by Black music from an early age, her musical foundation was shaped through Gospel, Soul, Jazz, and R&B, alongside experiences growing up between Japanese culture and the influence of West Texas. She began singing Gospel as a child, later joining the Soul Bird Teen Choir and performing at venues including Billboard Live Osaka. At 19, she traveled to Harlem, New York, to reconnect with the roots of Black music and auditioned for the legendary Apollo Theater, an experience that became a defining step toward her solo career. Her sound blends classic soul influences with modern R&B, cinematic storytelling, and theatrical production. Inspired by works such as "Burlesque" and "Lady Marmalade", Satone combines vintage-inspired aesthetics with emotionally driven performances. In 2025, she released her debut album, "Back To Me", and continued performing across Japan, including appearances at Okinawa Collection 2025 and the Akigase Festival promotional live event alongside Nariaki Obukuro. In 2026, she performed with established R&B artists including EMI MARIA, further establishing herself as one of the emerging voices in Japan's modern R&B scene.
